  El objetivo del artículo es evaluar, a nivel distrital, el vínculo entre el nivel de ingreso y el servicio ecosistémico de regulación hídrica, este último capturado mediante el número de hectáreas promedio bajo riego que se dejarán de sembrar por falta de agua. El análisis consiste en la estimación de una ecuación de ingresos, mediante mínimos cuadrados ordinarios, en una muestra de 506 distritos rurales de la sierra ubicados en la Región Hidrográfica del Amazonas en el Perú. Los resultados reflejan la vulnerabilidad económica de los agricultores ante una posible degradación del servicio ecosistémico de regulación hídrica.

  The objective of the article is to evaluate, at the district level, the link between the level of income and the ecosystem service of water regulation. The latter is captured by the average number of hectares under irrigation that will stop being planted due to lack of water. The analysis consists of estimating an income equation, using ordinary least squares, in a sample of 506 rural districts of the highlands located in the Amazon Hydrographic Region in Peru. The results reflect the economic vulnerability of farmers to a possible degradation of the ecosystem service of water regulation
