Relación entre la revista literaria estridentista Horizonte y la primera generación del muralismo

    En el presente se estudia la relación de dos movimientos artísticos, mismos que surgieron durante el México posrevolucionario y que representan una parte del proyecto hegemónico de dicho periodo. Los movimientos tratados son el muralismo y el estridentismo; lo que significa que, por sus distintas naturalezas, permiten establecer un puente que va de lo visual a lo escrito, a través, o viceversa. Lo anterior se debe a que uno de los productos estridentistas más notables, la revista Horizonte (1926-‐1927), contiene imágenes elaboradas por los muralistas de la primera generación. Es gracias a Horizonte que se permite delinear un discurso de los artistas y escritores mexicanos de la década de los veinte: un discurso que habla del contexto sociocultural en México y de la marcada influencia ideológica tanto latinoamericana como europea. Para el desarrollo de este trabajo, fueron seleccionados los textos incluidos en Horizonte que se acompañan de las imágenes de los muralistas. De tal selección, imágenes y textos son tratados como códigos a los cuales se les cuestiona quién los escribe, a quién se les escriben, desde qué perspectiva se hace y, en algunos casos, también qué rige el discurso. Es a partir de tales preguntas que se vuelve posible hablar de ciertos aspectos ideológicos, que refieren a movimientos internacionales, que permearon dos de los movimientos de arte en México; además, permiten hablar de cómo es que se reflejan tales aspectos la realidad mexicana, al menos discursivamente.

    In this work the connection between two artistic movements is studied. These movements, Muralism and Strindentist, began after the Mexican Revolution. That is why these represent part of the state project. In addition, these artistic movements, by their different natures, can be related to create a bridge between the visual objects of art and the writings. This possibility of connection exists thanks to the most important result of the Mexican literary avant-‐garde: Horizonte review, published from 1926 to 1927. It contains first-‐generation muralist collaborations. This fact, allows to speak both about artists and writers of the twenties in Mexico. Also, their discursive generalizations show the socio-‐cultural context and influences of Latin America and Europe. In order to develope this work, Horizonte texts that include images of first generation muralism were selected. After this selection, the images and texts were treated as semantic codes. To decode them, we set questions to answer who wrote it, who was the target reader, what the writer's perspective and, in some cases, what idea was directing the speech. These questions allow us to approach to ideological aspects of international movements that influenced two of the most important art movements in Mexico. In addition, questions allow to partially understand how this aspect can be reflected in the Mexican reality, at least discursively.
