    FABRICATION OF (NON)SENSE es un proyecto artístico que trata de cuestionar los sistemas discursivos sobre los que se construyen la Ciencia y el Arte, mediante la fabricación de un resultado científico “falso” con apariencia de veracidad y su posterior difusión en el ámbito científico internacional: ha sido presentado en la 2nd International Conference on Mathematics and Computers in Sciences and Industry, celebrada en Malta en agosto de 2015, y publicado en el Journal of Advances in Applied Mathematics (Vol. 1, No. 3, pp. 160-‐174) en 2016. La aportación, titulada A Symbolic Algorithm for the Computation of Periodic Orbits in Non-‐Linear Differential Systems, presenta un método para el cálculo de órbitas periódicas en sistemas diferenciales no lineales, empleando para ello una adaptación del método de Poincaré-‐Lindstedt. Como proyecto artístico, ha sido seleccionado en la convocatoria Arte en la Casa Bardín del Instituto Juan Gil-‐Albert. Esta contribución al III Congreso Internacional de Investigación en Artes Visuales analiza, en primer lugar, el contexto en que se ha desarrollado el proyecto. En segundo lugar, establece los diferentes niveles de lectura de la pieza, como cuestionamiento de los sistemas de la Ciencia y el Arte. Por último, conecta el proyecto con la obra de algunos artistas contemporáneos.

    The aim of FABRICATION OF (NON)SENSE is to question the discursive system in which Science and Art are based by means of the fabrication of a “false” scientific result with appearance of veracity and its later diffusion in the scientific international area. The result has been presented in the 2nd International Conference on Mathematics and Computers in Sciences and Industry, which took place in Malta (2015), and it has been published in the Journal of Advances in Applied Mathematics (Vol. 1, No. 3, pp. 160-‐174) in 2016. The contribution, entitled A Symbolic Algorithm for the Computation of Periodic Orbits in Non-‐Linear Differential Systems, deals with a method for the computation of periodic orbits in non-‐ linear differential systems, by using an adaptation of the Poincaré-‐Lindstedt technique. The project was also exhibited in the Juan Gil-‐Albert Institute as an art project. The aim of this talk is to analyze the context of the project, and then to identify the different levels of meaning in the project, as a critique to the system of Science and Art. Finally, we establish some connections between the project and some other contemporary art works.
