Las variedades de vid y su contribución cromática al paisaje en una zona vitícola de montaña

    Las zonas vitícolas de montaña y en fuerte pendiente, son territorios paisajísticamente muy singulares y a menudo de una gran belleza natural. En los viñedos de montaña la necesidad frecuente de realizar aterrazamientos, construir grandes muros etc, dan lugar a la creación de paisajes agrarios únicos, pintorescos y de gran atractivo turístico. Otra característica diferen- ciadora de las zonas vitícolas de montaña, es la existencia de variedades poco conocidas y con un elevado nivel de adaptación a cada una de sus zonas de cultivo tradicional. Estudios previos nos han permitido comprobar que a lo largo del ciclo vegetativo, cada variedad de vid presenta una paleta de colores única y específica, en los diferentes órganos de la planta, que permiten diferenciar las variedades. En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio sobre la gama cromática que presentan 1 variedad blanca y 3 tintas cultivadas en la D.O. Ribeira Sacra (Galicia-España) y 2 blancas y 3 tintas cultivadas en la D.O. Vinos de Cangas (Principado de Asturias- España), en otoño (últimas fases del ciclo vegetativo). Para ello, se tomaron muestras en el viñedo de hojas otoñales de las distintas variedades, en las que posteriormente se tomaron datos de color (RGB), con ayuda de un programa de análisis de imágenes. Los datos obtenidos fueron someti- dos a diferentes análisis estadísticos.Se ha comprobado que cada variedad presentaba un perfil cromático específico y significativamente diferente al resto, y que esto se veía perfectamente reflejado en el paisaje en el que estaban ubicados los viñedos

    The mountain and steep slope grape growing areas are exceptional territories from an aes- thetic perspective and often with great natural beauty. The different human interventions in these mountain vineyards such as terrace systems with their retaining walls, gives raises to singular and picturesque agricultural landscapes with great tourist attractiveness. Other charac- teristic of these mountain viticulture areas is the existence of different and little known grape- vine varieties well adapted to their particular growing areas. Previous studies have revealed that each variety shows an unique and specific color palette for every organ during the growth cycle (Martínez 2002). These chromatic characteristics allow ampelographs to differentiate the grapevines by the simple observation of the color of a single leaf or through the analysis of general color in a vineyard within the landscape. The objective of the present work is to carry on a study about the chromatic range showed by the grapevine varieties most cultivated in two Spanish Designation of Origin (D.O.) belonging to the mountain and steep slope viticulture, D.O. Ribeira Sacra-Galicia (Grapevine varieties: Albariño, Mencía, Tempranillo and Alicante); D.O. Cangas - Asturias Princedom (Albarín Blanco, Verdejo Negro, Albarín Negro, Carrasquín and Moscatel de Grano Menudo Blanco). Samples of each studied grapevine (green leaves, autumn leaves and pruning wood) were recorded in the vineyards at different stages of the growth cycle. These samples were then analyzed with specific software for image analysis and the data obtained were subjected to different statistical calculations. It was probed that each variety had a specific chromatic range and it is significantly different from the remaining ones.

    This happened in every season of the year and has a considerable influence in the visual per - ception of the landscape
