Resumen de El aprendizaje-servicio para el desarrollo de la motivación en educación artística

Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una investigación centrada en el análisis de la influencia que tiene la realización de una experiencia de aprendizaje-servicio en el desarrollo de la motivación hacia la educación artística del estudiantado de secundaria. El estudio tomó como eje de indagación un proyecto llevado a cabo en la zona pediátrica de un Centro de Salud de Atención Primaria. El objetivo general fue explorar los aspectos motivacionales de los estudiantes de educación plástica para determinar si su nivel de valoración de la actividad artística aumentó tras el desarrollo de un proyecto. Para ello se desplegaron una serie de objetivos específicos centrados en conocer la evolución del interés por el área durante la realización del proyecto, estudiar los factores que desencadenan la motivación del alumnado, comprender la operatividad que atribuyeron los discentes a los contenidos artísticos y conocer la significación de los aprendizajes adquiridos. Se utilizó el estudio de caso como metodología de la investigación y el análisis de documentos, observación, entrevistas y grupos de discusión como estrategias de recogida de información. A partir de los hallazgos obtenidos se concluye que el aprendizaje-servicio conforma un escenario pedagógico pertinente Los resultados alcanzados permiten para para la mejora de la capacidad para sistematizar los procesos de creación artística por medio de la comprensión de la operatividad de los contenidos y significación de sus aprendizajes. La experiencia les ayudó a tener una actitud favorable para aprender los contenidos de la asignatura y tener un mayor interés por la educación plástica. Los participantes se sintieron más motivados, ya fuera porque disfrutaron del entorno de aprendizaje grupal, el contenido artístico del proyecto o por su aplicabilidad final en un entorno real. Los discentes se involucraron activamente en el aprendizaje, mostrando curiosidad, interés y constancia.

This article presents the results of an investigation focused on the analysis of the influence that the realization of a service-learning experience has on the development of motivation towards arts education of secondary school students. The study took as the axis of inquiry a project carried out in the paediatric area of a Primary Health Care Centre. The general objective was to explore the motivational aspects of art education students in order to determine whether their level of appreciation of artistic activity increased after the development of a project. To this end, a series of specific objectives were deployed, focused on finding out the evolution of interest in the area during the project, studying the factors that trigger student motivation, understanding the operability attributed by the students to the artistic content and finding out the significance of the learning acquired. The case study was used as the research methodology, and document analysis, observation, interviews and discussion groups were used as strategies for gathering information. From the findings obtained, it is concluded that service-learning is a relevant pedagogical scenario. The results obtained allow for the improvement of the capacity to systematise the processes of artistic creation through the understanding of the operability of the contents and significance of its learning. The experience helped them to have a favourable attitude towards learning the contents of the subject and to have a greater interest in art education. The participants felt more motivated, either because they enjoyed the group learning environment, the artistic content of the project or because of its final applicability in a real environment. The students were actively involved in the learning process, showing curiosity, interest and determination.
