    La administración de justicia es una labor compleja en cualquier instancia, sin embargo, asumir la responsabilidad de resolver situaciones jurídicas con un elevado impacto a nivel político, en el marco de un proceso electoral, genera que los tribunales responsables de tomar decisiones en cumplimiento de la normatividad vigente se vean expuestos ante las distintas opiniones ciudadanas y de los propios actores políticos. Por ello, el presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la función constitucional del Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) en el proceso electoral 2021. Asimismo, este estudio indaga sobre el proceso histórico de consolidación institucional, sus funciones constitucionales, el contexto político y sanitario en el que se desarrollaron las Elecciones Generales 2021 (EG 2021) y la ejecución de actividades realizadas en el marco del proceso electoral.

    The administration of justice is a complex task in any instance. However, assuming the responsibility of resolving juridical issues with a high political impact in an electoral context generates that courts responsible for making decisions in compliance with the norms are exposed to the different opinions of citizens. Thus, this article aims to analyze the constitutional task of the National Jury of Elections (JNE, by its Spanish acronym) in the 2021 General Election. Furthermore, this research studies the historic institutional consolidation of the JNE, its functions, the political and sanitary context in which the 2021 General Election developed, and the execution of electoral activities.
