Resumen de Construcción y administración de los edificios religiosos de un lugar del Campo de Montiel: Alcubillas (1478-1550)

  Alcubillas fue desde su fundación una aldea del Campo de Montiel, primero de Alhambra y luego de Montiel, y aneja a la encomienda de Membrilla hasta su emancipación como villa en 1539. En las décadas finales del siglo XV y la primera mitad del XVI tuvo lugar un importante proceso constructivo en los edificios religiosos de la población. La iglesia parroquial de Santa María Magdalena y la ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Carrasca fueron renovadas, construyéndose nuevos edificios que sustituyeron a los antiguos, y al mismo tiempo se levantaron dos nuevas ermitas: San Ildefonso y San Sebastián. El objetivo del presente trabajo es conocer la administración y evolución de la construcción de estos espacios, los materiales y maestros que trabajaron, así como la obtención de recursos para financiar las obras, posesiones y las personas que estuvieron al frente de las diferentes tareas.

  Alcubillas was since its foundation a hamlet from “Campo de Montiel”, first it was Alhambra’s and then Montiel’s and it was attached to Membrilla’s administration until its emancipation as a town in 1539. In the final decades from 15th Century and the first half from 16th Century took place an important constructive process of the religious buildings in the population. The parochial church “Santa María Magdalena” and the hermitage “Nuestra Señora de la Carrasca” were renewed, new buildings were built as a substitution of the old ones, and at the same time two new hermitages were built: “San Ildefonso” and “San Sebastián”. The aim of this work is to know these spaces’ administration and evolution, the equipment and masters who worked in it, as well as to how the resources to finance these works were obtained, the possessions and the people who were in charge of the different tasks.
