Las cooperativas de iniciativa social: un reto social y empresarial

    El autor presenta las cooperativas de iniciativa social: una realidad inserta en el movimiento cooperativo que se mueve dentro del ámbito de los servicios sociales y de proximidad, repasando los rasgos principales de estas cooperativas. Todo ello teniendo en cuenta los paradigmas y reglas que delimitan la participación de la iniciativa social en la provisión de bienes y servicios de titularidad pública y los aspectos definitorios de su identidad cooperativa. Y por último comenta los principales logros y el reconocimiento jurídico alcanzado, así como los retos que proponen estas cooperativas como estímulo para aquellas realidades organizadas, dentro del sector social, que deseen dotarse de una estructura empresarial bajo la fórmula cooperativa y que estén dispuestos a construir empresas sociales.

    The author presents the cooperatives of social initiative: a reality inserts in the cooperative movement that moves inside the environment of the social services and of vicinity, reviewing the main features of these cooperatives. Everything keeping it in mind the paradigms and rules that define the participation of the social initiative in the provision of goods and services of public ownership and the principals aspects of their cooperative identity. And lastly comment the main achievements and the reached juridical recognition, as well as the challenges that propose these cooperatives as stimulus for those organized realities, inside the social sector that they want to be endowed of a managerial structure under the cooperative formula and that they are willing to build social companies.
