  Este texto presenta la traducción de “Los desposeídos”, primer capítulo de la obra The radical right. The New American Right Expanded and Updated publicado originalmente en 1962, autoría de Daniel Bell. En el mismo se aborda la emergencia de la derecha radical en la escena politica estadounidense al inicio de los años sesenta del siglo XX, señalando la importancia en ese contexto de los cambios sociales y culturales vinculados a la modernidad tardía. Las reflexiones de Bell anticipan análisis e interpretaciones de gran interés para el estudio actual de la derecha radical.

  This text presents the translation of "The Dispossessed", the first chapter of The radical right. The New American Right Expanded and Updated, originally published in 1962 by Daniel Bell. It deals with the emergence of the radical right on the American political scene at the beginning of the 1960s, pointing out the importance in this context of the social and cultural changes linked to late modernity. Bell's reflections anticipate analyses and interpretations of great interest for the current study of the radical right.
