    El derecho al complemento de legítima no ha sido destinatario de estudios detenidos y coherentes con enfoque sistémico. La asimilación del derecho que tiene el legitimario que ha recibido menos de la porción que le corresponde a reclamar su completamiento con la acción para alcanzar este fin, ha retrasado la configuración jurídica de esta institución de la sucesión forzosa. A precisar la naturaleza, el contenido y los presupuestos del derecho al complemento se dedica este artículo, en aras de cimentar las bases de su régimen jurídico.

    The right to the supplement to the legitimate share has not been the subject of detailed and coherent studies with a systemic approach. The assimilation of the right of the legitimated person who has received less than the portion that corresponds to him/her to claim for its completion with the action to achieve this end, has delayed the legal configuration of this institution of forced heirship. This article is devoted to specifying the nature, content and assumptions of the right to supplement in order to lay the foundations of its legal regime.
