La bruja transformada: El papel de la retraducción en la construcción del motivo literario

    El objetivo del presente artículo se centra en analizar la imagen de la bruja en diversos textos, prestando especial atención al papel que desempeña la (re)traducción en la configuración de este motivo literario. El estudio pretende mostrar cómo la traducción de textos (y su consecuente transmisión a otras culturas e idiomas) afecta a la creación, alteración y permanencia de la imagen de la bruja. Para alcanzar dicho objetivo, se analizarán diversos textos (tanto literarios como no literarios) centrados en la imagen de la bruja, desde la Biblia hasta la actualidad, pasando por la época grecorromana y la Edad Media.

    The current article aims at analysing the image of the witch in texts, paying special attention to the role that (re)translation plays in the configuration of this literary image. The analysis has the objective of showing how the translation of texts (and its consequent transmission to other cultures and languages) affects the creation, alteration and permanence of the witch. Several texts (both literary and non-literary) will be analysed to focus on the image of the witch, from the Bibleto nowadays, through the Greco-Roman period and the Middle Ages
