    La miastenia gravis (MG) es un trastorno autoinmune de la unión neuromuscular caracterizada por la debilidad y fatigabilidad de la musculatura estriada. El diagnóstico se basa en la exploración neurológica, destinada a buscar la debilidad de determinados grupos musculares y la positividad del test de anticuerpos específicos, test neurofisiológicos o la prueba farmacológica. Existen diferentes vías de tratamiento y el abordaje desde la fisioterapia irá encaminado a mejorar la función cardiovascular y disminuir las complicaciones respiratorias.

    Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder of the neuromuscular junction characterized by weakness and fatigue of the striated muscles. The diagnosis is based on the neurological examination, aimed at looking for the weakness of certain muscle groups and the positivity of the specific antibody test, the neurophysiological test or the pharmacological test. There are different treatment routes and the physiotherapy approach will be aimed at improving cardiovascular function and reducing respiratory complications.
