    El Síndrome del túnel del carpo (STC) es un síndrome de atrapamiento por compresión del nervio mediano, que se produce en el túnel del carpo. Es la neuropatía de atrapamiento más frecuente. Quien lo sufre presenta desde síntomas sensitivos, hasta síntomas motores y tróficos. Su diagnóstico principal se basa en la clínica y exploración física y para ello la fisioterapia cuenta con distintas pruebas que ayudan a su valoración, entre ellas encontramos el Test de Phalen, el Test de Phalen inverso, el Test de Tinel y el Test de compresión carpiana.

    Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a compression entrapment syndrome of the median nerve, which occurs in the carpal tunnel. It is the most common entrapment neuropathy. Who suffer it present sensory, motor and trophic symptoms. Its main diagnosis is based on the clinic and physical examination and for this the physiotherapy has different tests that help its assessment, among them we find the Phalen Test, the Reverse Phalen Test, the Tinel Test and the Carpal Compression Test.
