  • Resumen
    • Reality virtual applications on smartphones were used by people with blindness to explore the interior of an unknown place in a virtual way, in order to acquire sufficient knowledge of the environment and then perform tasks in a real environment. When the avatar walked through the virtual place controlled by the user, then the way of walking of the blind person in the real world was simulated. Four sensitive interfaces were used: voice, beeps, vibration and gestures, to provide relevant information of the space explored. The speed of the speech was modified in each application and an effective playback rate was found. The evidence showed that more obstacles were detected and less time was spent on exploration using twice the speed.
