    The Castle of Castellbò has been object between 2016 and 2018 of three recovery campaigns. The first one, carried out with a totally archaeological criterion, has been followed by the other two where other interests have prevailed over the scientific knowledge of a place occupied at the end of the 8th century, in which an outstanding fortification would be made as of the tenth century and which would reach its splendor in the thirteenth century, as the seat of the viscounty of the same name. Destroyed at the beginning of the 16th century there are few remains that have come to become a common quarry for the immediate people.

    El castell de Castellbò ha estat objecte entre el 2016 i 2018 de tres campanyes de recuperació. La primera efectuada amb criteri totalment arqueològic ha estat seguida per les altres dues on han primat altres interessos per sobre del coneixement científic d’un indret ocupat a les acaballes del segle VIII, en el qual es faria una fortificació destacada a partir del segle X i que arribaria al seu esplendor en el segle XIII, com a seu del vescomtat del mateix nom. Destruïda a principis del segle XVI són poques les restes que ens han arribat a l’esdevenir pedrera habitual per al poble immediat.
