    Relegado hasta hace pocos años a un segundo plano en la escena cultural del siglo XX, el nombre de Pierre Souvtchinsky ha pasado largo tiempo inadvertido en las investigaciones musicales y filosóficas. Las escasas referencias a su trabajo nos han llegado principalmente a partir de su participación junto a Roland-Manuel en la Poética musical de Igor Stravinsky y, todavía en menor medida, por alusiones a su escrito sobre “La noción del tiempo y la música”. En la primera parte de este artículo se presentan las fuentes y apuntes biográficos más importantes para transitar su obra y su biografía. En la segunda, se lleva a cabo un análisis de los principales elementos convocados en su interpretación del fenómeno musical.

    Relegated until a few years ago to a second plane in the cultural scene of the XX century, the name of Pierre Souvtchinsky has been long time unnoticed in musical and philosophical research. The few references to his work have come mainly from his participation with Roland-Manuel in the Poetics of music by Igor Stravinsky and, even less, by allusions to his writing about “The notion of time and music”. In the first part of this article we present the most important biographical sources and biographical notes to explore his work. In the second, an analysis of the main elements convened in their interpretation of the musical phenomenon is carried out.
