La autora analiza la situación del movimiento cooperativo en los últimos años para poder adelantar la situación en este nuevo milenio. En su diagnóstico encuentra ejemplos de cooperativas que están renunciando a normas fundamentales para poder solucionar a corto plazo algunas de sus dificultades. Pero también encuentra casos de cooperativas que robustecen las normas cooperativas clásicas. Quiere llamar la atención sobre lo que define como los graves problemas: el de desnaturalización y el de desmutualización, para terminar con una muestra de confianza en las posibilidades de progreso de todo tipo de cooperativas en el nuevo milenio.

The author analyses the situation of the co-operative movement during the last few years in order to forecast the situation in this new millennium. In his diagnosis, she finds examples of co-operatives that are renouncing fundamental rules to be able to solve some of their difficulties in the short term. However, the author also finds cases of co-operatives that strengthen the traditional co-operative rules. She places special emphasis on what she defines as the serious problems: that of denaturalization and demutualization. Finally, the author concludes with a demonstration of the progress prospects all kind of co-operatives may have in the new millennium.
