• This work illustrates the practicality of Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) in geomorphological studies carried out in urban environments. The most relevant methodological aspects are discussed, including the use of non-conventional electrodes and adequate interelectrodic spacings. The results obtained in different geomorphological investigations focused on the identification and characterization of landslides, Quaternary faults and active sinkholes in the urban areas of Terrassa (Barcelona), Amer (Girona) and Zaragoza, respectively, are presented
