  • The Natural Park of the Los Collados del Asón is spread over a low inclined platform of medium height (Picón del Fraile, 1,618 m), pertaining to the morphostructural domain of the Basco-Cantabrian mountains. This natural park constitutes a particular space where the transmission of scientific knowledge can develop easily, through images and thematic cartography. This popularization allows an increase in the social valuation of geomorphologic heritage. We present here different images and cartography of the landforms of the natural park. The morphological map is focused on the main processes that shape the landscape: karstification and glacial processes. Moreover, the map highlights the main postglacial slope processes as a response of a paraglacial system to a new equilibrium.
