The volumetric study of polycyclic landforms such as alluvial cones, contributes to an understanding of erosion and accumulation processes in alpine valleys. With regard to the assessment of the 2009 and 2010 debris flow events (400,000 m3) in the Spreitlaui catchment, volumetric analysis of alluvial cones was conducted. The application of different volume estimation methods indicates a good relationship between the obtained results, with the coefficients of variation (CV) of 9.2% and 6.8% respectively for each cone. The post-LGM sedimentation processes of the upper Hasli valley were dominated by gravitational and fluvial processes during the Late Glacial and Holocene transition, whereas the present system generates sediment bypass and net losses.
