El Departamento de Justicia, Economía, Trabajo y Seguridad Social del Gobierno Vasco ha promovido la segunda edición de Las Cuentas de la Economía Social correspondientes al periodo de 1996. A través del mismo, se pretende dimensionar y caracterizar la Economía Social en el tejido económico de la CAPV, ilustrando su evolución respecto a 1994 -1ª edición-. A partir del proceso de recogida informativa llevado a cabo en el último cuatrimestre de 1997, este documento recoge de manera sintética un retrato de los principales rasgos y variables que definen y caracterizan a la Economía Social vasca.

The Department of Justice, Economics, Labour and Social Security of the Basque Government has promoted the second edition of the Accounts of Social Economy for 1996. It is also aimed at measuring and defining the Social Economy in the economic fabric of the Basque Country Autonomous Community, showing its evolution with respect to 1994 -1st edition-. Starting from the process of data collection which was carried out in the last four months of 1997, this document makes a synthetic description of the main features and variables that define and characterize the Basque Social Economy.
