Pioneras italianas: Reflexionando en torno a genealogías alternativas más allá del canon

    El presente trabajo, sin pretensión alguna de exhaustividad, examina muy brevemente las contribuciones de un conjunto de arquitectas italianas que se pueden definir ‘pioneras’ no sólo a nivel cronológico, es decir por haber sido las primeras en protagonizar la escena o el debate arquitectónico en Italia desde principios del siglo XX, sino también por haber marcado nuevos horizontes en la profesión, enriqueciéndola y planteándola de manera diferente.

    Tras una breve contextualización histórica, se analizan más detenidamente los perfiles de algunas de ellas, empleándolos como pretexto para reflexionar sobre los aspectos de sus aportaciones que abordan temas de gran actualidad y que permiten avanzar no sólo en la redefinición de su papel historiográfico, nombrándolas y visibilizando su trabajo, sino también en la redefinición de los propios criterios que legitiman su inclusión en una renovada perspectiva histórico-crítica, que socava el canon, delineando genealogías alternativas y proporcionando otros referentes para las nuevas generaciones.

    The present work, without any pretence of exhaustiveness, examines very briefly the contributions of a group of Italian architects who can be defined as ‘pioneers’ not only at a chronological level, that is, for having been the first to star in the scene or in the architectural debate in Italy since the beginning of the 20th century, but also for having set new horizons in the profession, enriching it and posing it in a different way.

    After a brief historical contextualization, the profiles of some of them are analysed in more detail, using them as a pretext to reflect on the aspects of their contributions that address highly topical issues and that allow progress not only in the redefinition of their historiographic role, naming them and making their work visible, but also in the redefinition of the very criteria that legitimize their inclusion in a renewed historical-critical perspective, which undermines the canon, outlining alternative genealogies and providing other references for new generations.
