Este trabajo comienza con una descripción de los orígenes del cooperativismo en Gran Bretaña, la revolución industrial y el panorama económico y social. A continuación análiza los diferentes enfoques del derecho cooperativo seguido de una reflexión sobre la actualidad de los principios cooperativos. Por último, el autor trata el tema del futuro del cooperativismo en el seno de la economía social y la armonización del derecho cooperativo en la CEE.

This work begins with a description of the origins of the cooperative system in Great Britain, the industrial revolution and the economic and social view. Then the author analyzes the different approaches to Cooperative Law, followed by a reflection about the current importance of the cooperative principles. Finally, the work deals with the future prospects of the cooperative system in the context of social economy and with the harmonization of Cooperative Law in the EEC.
