    • This paper is aimed to study the women´s participation on board of merchant ships in Venezuela and their relation in the inland – ship environment. It is used a hermeneutical vision from the gender perspective, in order to produce theoretical contributions regarding the equality of opportunities regardless of gender. Traditionally been marine was restricted to men, and the female´s presence was inconceivable. Nowadays, different organizations propose strategies for women´s inclusion, since the transcendence of their incorporation has turn into a worldwide concern.
