Este artículo analiza el impacto que la Guerra de la Convención (1793-1795) tuvo para el municipio de Calahorra. Un acontecimiento histórico importante que fue la consecuencia inmediata del triunfo de la Revolución francesa y supuso la primera piedra en el camino de la crisis del Antiguo Régimen en España durante el reinado de Carlos IV. Aunque la ciudad no se vio afectada directamente por las batallas sucedidas en el tercio norte peninsular, indirectamente sí que estuvo sumergida en una serie de apuros políticos y socioeconómicos. Entre los que destacaron los efectos del exilio político del clero refractario que se vio obligado a refugiarse en Calahorra.
This article analyzes the impact that the War of the Convention (1793-1795) had for the municipality of Calahorra. An important historical event that was the immediate consequence of the triumph of the French Revolution and was the first stone in the way of the crisis of the Old Regime in Spain during the reign of Carlos IV.
