Resumen de El vino de calidad y su patrimonio cultural en el desarrollo del enoturismo en la D. O. Cigales

  Cigales es una de las nueve Denominaciones de Origen (D.O.) que existen en la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León que fue reconocida como tal en 1991, aunque su impronta en la producción de vino se remonta al siglo X. A lo largo de los años, pero sobre todo desde mediados del siglo XX, y en concreto con el nombramiento de Cigales como D.O. en 1991, se han ido produciendo una serie de cambios trascendentales en esta actividad y en este territorio orientados hacia la elaboración de vinos de mayor calidad. Junto a este hecho hay que sumar la riqueza del patrimonio histórico artístico existente, no sólo el vinculado con el mundo del vino, sino todo aquel presente en el territorio. Estos dos elementos, vino y patrimonio, han sido los dos factores claves en el desarrollo de diversas iniciativas de enoturismo en los municipios que componen la D.O. de Cigales, y que han contribuido a la diversificación económica de estos espacios rurales.

  Wine quality and cultural heritage in the development of wine tourism in the D.O. Cigales Cigales is one of the nine Appellations of Origin (D.O.) that exist in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León, and this D.O. was recognized as such in 1991, although its mark in wine production dates back to the tenth century. Throughout the years, but especially since the mid-twentieth century, in particular by appointing as D.O. Cigales in 1991, have been producing a series of major changes in this activity in this territory and oriented towards the development of higher quality wines. Along with this fact must be added to the existing wealth artistic heritage, not only linked to the world of wine, but everyone present in the territory. These two elements, wine and heritage, were the two key in the development of wine tourism initiatives in the municipalities that make up the D.O. Cigales, and have contributed to the economic diversification of rural areas
