Funcionalidad de la persona adulta mayor: efectos de un taller integral

    La presente investigación tuvo el objetivo de demostrar los efectos de un taller integral en la funcionalidad de la persona adulta mayor. Fue un estudio cuasi-experimental con 30 sujetos tanto para el grupo experimental y control. Previo a las consideraciones éticas, se aplicó el taller y las mediciones. Se hallaron diferencias significativas entre los grupos, durante el pos-test y al mes del post-test en: la funcionalidad, las actividades instrumentales y las actividades de la vida diaria (p<0.05). Se concluye que el taller integral mejoro la vida cotidiana y funcional de las personas adultas mayores.

    The present investigation had the objective of demonstrating the effects of the integral workshop on the functionality of the elderly person. It was a quasi-experimental study with 30 subjects for both the experimental and control group. Prior to the ethical considerations, the workshop and the measurements were applied. Significant differences were found between the groups, during the post-test and the month of the post-test in: the functionality, the instrumental activities and the activities of daily life (p <0.05). It is concluded that the integral workshop improved the daily and functional life of the elderly.
