El objetivo de este estudio es presentar una propuesta teórico-metodológica para el análisis de contenido sintáctico-semántico, estético y semiótico de las fotografías galardonadas en la World Press Photo a partir de los aportes de Barthes (1980), Vilches (1984, 1987) y Eurasquin (1995). Se concluye que la representación humana es permanente, convirtiendo a la imagen en un discurso sociocultural. También se concluyen que las temáticas valoran las formas de la violencia y la muerte. De igual modo se extrae que el texto fotográfico de prensa, al descontextualizarse de la información lingüística, sigue funcionando como un texto con potencial comunicativo.
The aim of this study is to present a theoretical-methodological proposal for the analysis of syntactic-semantic, aesthetic and semiotic content of the photographs awarded in the World Press Photo from the contributions of Barthes (1980), Vílches (1984, 1987 ) and Eurasquin (1995). It is concluded that human representation is permanent, converting the image into a sociocultural discourse. They also conclude that the themes value the forms of violence and death. It is also extracted that the press photographic text, when decontextualized from linguistic information, continues to function as a text with communicative potential.
