    La proyección del tiempo mítico ha encontrado un sitio propicio para su desarrollo en las narrativas bíblicas agrupadas dentro del conjunto de los libros históricos. Bajo ese esquema, la hospitalidad ocupa un lugar de destacada importancia. Sobre todo, si se tiene en cuenta el hecho de que el pueblo de Israel ha sido considerado 'extranjero' en los imperios cuyas inmensas extensiones lo subyugaron. A partir de este contexto serán significativos los momentos en que los hebreos se enfrenten abiertamente con ellos. En consecuencia, abordaremos en este trabajo el Libro IV de Macabeos dada la época histórica que ficcionaliza, de fuerte y extensa confrontación. Entendemos que en él se conjugan tanto el procedimiento narrativo de la circularidad de la historia como el elemento cultural de la hospitalidad para construir con trazos claros e inequívocos a las figuras centrales del tratado. Por ende, intentaremos hallar en ellos rasgos que puedan ser tipificados en una escala de oposiciones [positivo/negativo]. Dicha gradación permitirá entender la importancia relativa que la hospitalidad, así entendida, tendrá para clarificar la victoria final -moral y militar- de las huestes de los hijos de Dios.

    Projection of mythical time has found a favorable way to develop itself by getting inside the group of the historical books of the Bible. In that scheme, hospitality takes a very important place. Specially, if we consider the fact that the people of Israel has been considered as a foreigner into the empires which immense exten- sions subjugate it. On the basis of this context, the moments when Hebrews openly fight with these empires will be significant. Then, we will analyze in this work the Fourth Book of Maccabees because it fictionalizes a historic period of strong and hard confrontation. We understand that into it both narrative procedure of historical circularity and the hospitality as a cultural topic are conjugated, to build with clear and unambiguous marks the text's central characters. That is why we will try to find features that can be typificated in an opposition scale [positive/negative]. Such graduation will allow to understand the relative importance that hospitality will have to clarify the final victory -moral and military- of the sons of God's army.
