With the recent celebration of “International Women Day” and festive of color. Today we will focuson Emerging technology in the Supply Chain. Facility location decisions play a critical role in thestrategic design of supply chain networks. In this paper, new technology and models in the context ofsupply chain management is given. We identify basic features that such models and technology mustcapture to support decision-making involved in strategic supply chain planning. In particular, the in-tegration of location decisions with other decisions relevant to the design of a supply chain network isdiscussed. Furthermore, aspects related to the structure of the optimization of cost in supply chain arealso addressed. Significant contributions to the current state-of-the-art are surveyed taking into accountnumerous factors. Supply chain performance measures and optimization techniques are also reviewed.Applications of facility location models to supply chain network design ranging across various indus-tries are presented.
