    Desde una perspectiva cualitativa, la presente investigación describe las formas de religiosidad presentes en el Barrio Jamaicano del municipio de Baraguá en Ciego de Ávila. Seofrecen definiciones y criterios sobre la religiosidady sus singularidades eneste asentamiento avileño. Se exponen, además, las características fundamentalesde cada uno de los grupos y prácticas religiosas que caracterizan al territorio, así como la tolerancia presenteen el mismo. En el proceso investigativo se emplearon métodosteóricos y técnicas como la revisión bibliográfica o análisis documental, las entrevistas yla observación participante.La aplicación de estos instrumentos permitió describir y elaborar una documentación de todos los grupos religiosos que coexisten en el Barrio Jamaicano,reconocidotambiénpor su arraigada religiosidad. Como registro de un patrimonio cultural intangible de esta localidad.

    From a qualitative perspective, the present investigation describes the forms of religiosity present in the Jamaican District of the municipality of Baraguá in Ciego de Ávila. Definitions and criteria of religiosity and its singularities are offered in this Avilanian settlement. In addition, the fundamental characteristics of each of the groups and religious practices that characterize the territory, as well as the tolerance present in it, are exposed. In the research process, theoretical methods and techniques were used, such as bibliographic review or documentary analysis, interviews and participant observation. The application of these instruments allowed to describe and elaborate a documentation of all the religious groups that coexist in the Jamaican Quarter, also recognized by its deep religiosity. As a record of an intangible cultural heritage of this locality.
