  En el contexto de los flujos migratorios irregulares que se han producido en las últimas décadas en la zona marítima noroccidental de África, esta comunicación tiene como principal objetivo analizar los movimientos registrados en la primera década del siglo XXI a partir de las operaciones de salvamento realizadas por organismos militares. Para tal fin, se ha trabajado con el marco normativo que regula las garantías de salvaguarda marítima y con fuentes estadística y registros oficiales sobre llegadas de inmigrantes y operaciones de rescate. Las conclusiones obtenidas vienen a caracterizar de modo más pormenorizado esta movilidad marítima y a matizar la idea de la existencia de un muro marítimo en las fronteras comunitarias.

  In the context of the irregular migratory flows that have taken place in the last decades in the northwestern maritime zone of Africa, this communication has as main objective to analyze the movements registered in the first decade of the 21st century from the rescue operations carried out by military organisms. To this end, it has worked with the regulatory framework that governs the guarantees of maritime safeguards and with statistical sources and official records on immigrant arrivals and rescue operations. The conclusions reached characterize in more detail this maritime mobility and qualify the idea of the existence of a maritime wall at the Community’s borders.
