    The objective of this work is to investigate the references on the evil of the burning ones in the Cantigas de Santa María, in order to know its denomination, the geographical origin of the patients, the attributed causes, the symptoms, the signs that presented and their possible cure, interpreting these last aspects from the medical point of view.
