    La iglesia de Santa Emerenciana de La Puebla de Valverde (Teruel), cons-truida en época medieval, se renovó en los siglos XVI y XVII. En el presente trabajo analizamos dicha reforma aludiendo a las visitas pastorales mandadas desde la Sede Metropolitana de Zaragoza que nos permiten conocer el edificio antiguo y, a conti-nuación, indagamos en las fases sucesivas de la obra. Para tal fin, ampliamos las infor-maciones ya publicadas con otras inéditas que aportan un mayor conocimiento sobre la fábrica y los retablos que vistieron el interior antes de su destrucción en la Guerra Civil.

    The church of Saint Emerentiana in La Puebla de Valverde (Teruel), built in the Middle Ages, was restored during the 16th and 17th centuries. In this paper we analyse the documents of the canonical visitations from the Archdiocese of Zarago-za which contain information about the old building, and we continue exploring the successive construction work phases. TTo achieve this purpose we use well-known published references and we add some new ones that show how were the church and the altarpieces from the inside before their destruction in the Spanish Civil War
