    El objetivo de revitalizar los centros históricos en Galicia halla una realidad socio demográfica complicada y difícil de revertir. Por una parte, se pretende conocer esta realidad a través de indicadores que permitan realizar intervenciones ajustadas. Por otra parte, se busca evitar procesos de erradicación de la población y de la economía existente, observados y criticados en intervenciones anteriores en centros históricos, posibilitando la permanencia y mejora de la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Bajo estas premisas, se elaboró un modelo de Plan de Dinamización a partir de indicadores capaces de incorporar esta realidad y cuantificarla. Junto ello, se incorporaron criterios y relaciones que permitieran decantar los elementos estructurales sobre los que fuera necesario actuar.

    Our goal of revitalizing historical centres in Galicia meets a complex and hard-to-revert socio-demographic scenario. On the one hand, it aims to know this reality by using indicators that allow carrying out the right interventions. On the other hand, it seeks to prevent the displacement process of residents and their local economy –which have been observed and criticized in previous interventions in historic centres–, thus making possible the permanence of inhabitants and the improvement of their quality of life. Under this premise, a Dynamization Plan model was elaborated, based on indicators that are capable of incorporating and quantifying this reality. Along with this, selection criteria and relationships were incorporated in order to select the necessary structural elements for intervention.
