    Este artículo describe la investigación acerca de la formación de artistas visuales en las instituciones de educa-ción superior en México. Aborda el proceso de aprendizaje para la investigación en la Licenciatura en Artes Visuales; se analizan los datos de cuatro generaciones en la etapa final de su formación artística, en las asignaturas Seminario de Pro-yecto de Investigación y Seminario de Titulación; describe las opciones de titulación, los temas de interés de los estudiantes y las condiciones en las que elaboran sus proyectos de investigación para obtener su título.

    This article is about the research on educating visual artists in higher education institutions in Mexico. It addresses the learning process of research on students of the Visual Arts undergraduate program. This article is the analysis of four generations of students in the final stage of their career, specially in the subjects: Research Project Seminar and Seminar to title. It describes the options to certificate, interest of students and their context in which they elaborate the research projects, in order to obtain their undergraduate title degree.
