    L’episodi de les Germanies és un dels més apassionants de la història valenciana. Ja des d’antic, i quasi de manera contemporània als fets, molts han sigut els escrits destinats a analitzar les causes, desenvolupament i conseqüències del conflicte. Proposem aquest article com un nou apropament al mencionat esdeveniment des del punt de vista de la musicologia urbana, centrant-nos en l’anàlisi del paisatge sonor relacionat amb el citat fet històric. Tenint en compte el significat i el simbolisme adquirit pels sons, l’estudi de l’entorn acústic produït durant la revolta agermanada en la ciutat de València ens permetrà dilucidar quins, per què i amb quin motiu van ser utilitzats, intentant recuperar així, a través de les fonts, el paisatge sonor de la revolta.

    The Germanies (Revolt of the Brotherhoods) is one of the most enthralling episodes in Valencian history. Since centuries ago, almost contemporaneously with the facts, many are the studies destined to analyse the causes, development and consequences of this conflict. We propose this article as a new approach to this event from the point of view of the urban musi- cology, focusing on the analysis of the soundscape related to this historic fact. Taking into ac- count the meaning and symbolism acquired by the sounds, the study of the acoustic environ- ment produced during the Revolt of the Brotherhoods in the city of Valencia will allow us to elucidate which ones, why and for what reason they were used, thus trying to recover, through the sources, the soundscape of this revolt.
