    Introducción: el maltrato infantil se refiere a cualquier daño físico, emocional, psicológico, abuso sexual, negligencia, explotación comercial o de cualquier otro tipo en menores de 18 años afectando a su salud y bienestar de manera biopsicosocial. El maltrato infantil se considera como un problema de salud pública.

    Objetivo: detección del maltrato infantil por parte del personal de enfermería a través de la entrevista o valoración en cualquier ámbito sanitario.

    Metodología: se realizó una revisión bibliográfica a través de las bases de datos de PubMed, Scielo y Google Scholar utilizando artículos comprendidos entre 2006-2021 y que estudiaran signos y síntomas del maltrato infantil, su detección, prevención, incidencia en la pandemia del Covid-19 y su marco legal.

    Resultados: los resultados obtenidos fueron un total de 16.687 a los cuales se les aplicaron los criterios de selección y los resultados de la búsqueda se redujeron a 1.938. Se llevó a cabo la lectura de título, resumen y texto completo con lo que el número de artículos finales fue 58.

    Conclusión: se ha demostrado que el personal de enfermería es un punto muy importante en la detección y notificación del maltrato infantil ya que se encuentran en primera línea de atención al menor por lo que tienen que tener los conocimientos necesarios para realizarlo de manera correcta.

    Introduction: child abuse refers to any physical, emotional, psychological, sexual abuse, neglect, comercial exploitation or of any other type in persons under 18 years of age, affecting their health and well-being in a biopsychosocial way. Child abuse is considered a public health problem.

    Objective: detection of child abuse by nursing staff through an interview or assessment in any healthcare setting.

    Methodology: a bibliographic review was carried out through the databases of PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar using articles between 2006-2021 and that studied signs and symptoms of child abuse, its detection, prevention, incidence in the Covid-19 pandemic and its legal framework.

    Results: the results obtained were a total of 16.687 to which the selection criteria were applied and the search results were reduced to 1.938. The title, abstract and full text were read, bringing the number of final articles to 58.

    Conclusion: it has been shown that nursing staff are a very important point in the detection and notification of child abuse since they are in the first line of care for minors, so they have to have the necessary knowledge to do it correctly.
