    Es importante identificar a los pacientes con un traumatismo cervical para disminuir la gravedad de las lesiones que se pueden presentar posteriormente. Estos pacientes tienen una alta morbilidad tanto al inicio del traumatismo como hasta su estabilización.

    La realización de un proceso de atención de enfermería nos ayuda a la identificación de las necesidades tanto del paciente como de su familia. En este PAE se toma de referencia el modelo de Virginia Henderson para conocer qué necesidades están alteradas en el paciente y así estandarizar unos cuidados de enfermería utilizando la taxonomía NANDA, NIC, NOC.

    Identifying patients with a cervical trauma has a big relevance in order to diminish the severity of the possible injuries that they may present at a later stage. These patients show a high morbidity in both the beginning of the trauma and its stabilization.

    A process of nursing attention enables us to identify the necessities in both the patient and the family. In this process, the Virginia Henderson model is used as a reference to know which necessities are impaired in the patient and so on to standardize some nursing cares by using the NANDA, NIC and NOC taxonomy.
