Resumen de Fiebre en el paciente oncológico

La paciente AGG de 49 años diagnosticada con cáncer de mama derecha se pone en contacto con la consulta de enfermería del hospital de día por fiebre de 38,5ºC. Ha iniciado el tratamiento con quimioterapia hace 8 días. A partir del cuarto día ha empezado a notarse más cansada pero podía hacer vida normal descansando un rato por la mañana y otro por la tarde. La paciente presenta signos y síntomas de mucositis oral. Actualmente le ponen en su centro de salud unas inyecciones para estimular la producción de glóbulos blancos, le queda por poner 1 dosis de las 5 recetadas por el servicio de oncología. La paciente acude a consulta porque no sabe de dónde le puede venir la fiebre y se encuentra más cansada que días atrás.

The patient AGG aged 49 years diagnosed with right breast cancer contacted the nursing consultation of Day Hospital because of having fever over 101,3ºF. She started chemotherapy treatment 8 days ago. From the fourth day she has started feeling tired but resting for a while in the morning and another in the afternoon allows her to have a normal life. The patient has signs and symptoms of oral mucositis. Currently she goes to the health center to get injections to stimulate white blood cells production, the oncologist prescribes her five doses and she has one left to inject. The patient goes to the nursing consultation because she does not know where the fever may come from and she is more tired than days ago.
