    La presente comunicación gira en torno a dos ideas. Por un lado el hecho de que no son solo los grandes fenómenos geológicos los que modifican el paisaje, también la intensa actividad humana, a lo largo de la historia, ha modificado la superficie terrestre, aunque a menor escala. Una correcta gestión del patrimonio geológico debe incluir el estudio de las intervenciones antrópicas sobre las estructuras naturales. Por otro lado, para la conservación, puesta en valor y difusión del patrimonio geológico en un geoparque, es muy deseable la implicación activa de la población local. Así mismo, además de las actividades obvias en los espacios recuperados -rutas, visitas, difusión, etc.- deben imaginarse usos alternativos que despierten el interés de nuevos segmentos de población.

    The present communication revolves around two ideas. On the one hand, the fact that not only the great geological phenomenon modify the landscape, but also the intense human activity has modified the Earth’s surface all along the history, but in a minor scale. A correct management of the geological heritage must include the study of the anthropic interventions on the natural structures. On the other hand, for the preservation, enhancement and promotion of the geological heritage of a geopark, it is very desirable the involvement of the population living in the geoparks area, so the people may actively take part on the recuperation of this heritage. Likewise, besides the obvious activities in the recovered spaces -routes, tours, promotion, etc.- alternative uses that could stimulate the interest of other parts of the population should be imagined.
