    A propósito del Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda realizado en México en 2020 por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía, el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) deberá realizar una nueva redistritación.

    Al respecto, cabe mencionar que, con motivo de las redistritaciones federales hechas por el otrora Instituto Federal Electoral en 2005 ─producto del censo de 2000─ y por el INE en 2017 ─derivada del censo de 2010─, se presentaron recursos de apelación ante la Sala Superior del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación.

    Por lo anterior, el presente artículo ─a manera de preparación de la próxima redistritación─ ofrece una revisión de esos asuntos para advertir los temas y las pretensiones recurrentemente formuladas por los partidos políticos apelantes, así como las decisiones y la línea judicial que ha seguido el Tribunal Electoral

    Regarding the National Population and Housing Census carried out in Mexico in 2020 by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi, Acrnym. Sp.), the National Electoral Institute (INE, Acrnym. Sp.) must undertake new redistricting.

    In this regard, it is worth mentioning that, on the occasion of the 2005 Federal redistricting by the once Federal Electoral Institute after the 2000 Census, and of the 2017 redistricting by the INE resulting from the 2010 Census, appeals were filed to the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.

    Hence, this article presents, as a preparation for the upcoming redistricting, a review of the mentioned cases to create awareness of the issues and claims recurrently drafted by appealing political parties, as well as of the jurisprudence followed by the Superior Chamber
