Resumen de La ética en la publicación científica en tiempos de COVID-19

  Los científicos, profesionales de la salud y académicos a nivel mundial hacen frente a la pandemia COVID-19, con el único fin de aunar fuerzas para hallar una vacuna de alta efectividad y disminuir la elevada tasa de mortalidad. Todo ello, genera un sin número de investigaciones y, hasta cierto punto, un colapso de publicaciones en el ámbito científicosanitario.

  Sin embargo, toda publicación debe estar fundamentada en las buenas prácticas y principios éticos, con el propósito de mantener la calidad científica y así evitar las malas prácticas, al igual que el fraude científico. De igual forma, se resalta el trabajo de la buena comunidad científica y en conjunto, el objetivo de los comités de ética, que contribuyen a la integridad de la información científica desde la reflexión de la ética.

  Scientists around the world are facing the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to find a vaccine, a number of investigations are being carried out, which must be based on good practices and ethical principles, to maintain a high scientific integrity in order to avoid scientific misconduct and fraud, so in this essay the causes of retraction are analyzed such as plagiarism, falsification, incorrect bibliography, invented results, infodemic and conflicts of interest, the work of the good scientific community is also highlighted and next to it the objective of the ethics committees, that help to maintain an order of integrity towards scientific information with ethical and bioethical reflections.
