    El 14º Encuentro del Comité Intergubernamental de la UNESCO para la salvaguardia del Patrimonio Cultural Intangible, se celebró en Bogotá entre el 9 y 13 de diciembre del 2019 con la asistencia de mas de 1400 participantes de 134 países del mundo, reunión que dio un especial protagonismo a las tradiciones asociada con el Carnaval de Barranquilla (Colombia). Este trabajo considera desde una perspectiva musicológica los as-pectos principales del concepto de Patrimonio Cultural Intangible promulgado por la UNESCO en 2003 donde la música no figura en forma específica en ninguno de sus cinco ejes temáticos.

    On December 9-13, 2019, the 14th Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage met in Bogotá, in Colombia with the attendan-ce of 1400 participants from 134 countries around the world. The meeting especially highlighted the traditions associated with the Carnival of Barranquilla (Colombia). This work examines from a musicological perspective the concept of Intangible Cultural Heritage as stablished by UNECO in 2003 where music dos not appear explicitly in any of its five thematic axes.
