Avaliação da insatisfação da imagem corporal e possíveis transtornos alimentares em estudantes de áreas da saúde de uma faculdade particular de Bauru-SP

    Eating disorders (ED) are psychiatric disorders that bring emotional and social damages, raising the rate of morbidity and mortality in the population, affects mainly female adolescents in the age group of 15 to 25 years, although it can affect the male adolescents. Among the most common ED we can find Anorexia Nervosa (AN) and Bulimia Nervosa (BN). It is verified that body dissatisfaction may be one of the determining clinical manifestations for the TAs, being that the body image is related to the size and the shape of the body and the feelings with respect to the physical form, therefore, this work aimed to identify the degree of dissatisfaction of body image in students of both sexes, aged 18 to 22 years of the health courses of a private college in Bauru-SP. Food anamnesis, including anthropometric evaluation and the Body Shape Questionarire - BSQ-34 and Food Attitudes - EAT-26 questionnaires were used. Regarding the results, it was observed that 30% of the sample were male and 70% female, and the mean age was 19 (± 1.0) years, anxiety and binge eating were found in 77, 7% and 31.9%, respectively. Regarding nutritional status, 63.8% were eutrophic and 28% overweight. It was verified that 30% are dissatisfied with their body image, being evidenced by both questionnaires, since they present similar results, that is, this population needs nutritional and psychological orientation to avoid that bigger problems can happen, such as anorexia nervosa.

    Os transtornos alimentares (TA) são transtornos psiquiátricos que trazem prejuízos emocionais e sociais, elevando a taxa de morbidade e mortalidade na população, afeta principalmente adolescentes do sexo feminino na faixa etária de 15 a 25 anos, embora possa acometer os adolescentes do sexo masculino. Dentre os TA mais comuns podemos encontrar a Anorexia Nervosa (AN) e a Bulimia Nervosa (BN). Verifica-se que a insatisfação corporal pode ser uma das manifestações clínicas determinantes para os TA, sendo que a imagem corporal (IC) está relacionada ao tamanho e à forma do corpo e dos sentimentos em relação à forma física, por isso, este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar o grau de insatisfação da imagem corporal em estudantes de ambos os sexos, com idade de 18 a 22 anos dos cursos da saúde de uma faculdade particular da Bauru-SP. Foi utilizado uma anamnese alimentar, incluindo avaliação antropométrica e os questionários Body Shape Questionarire - BSQ-34 e Atitudes Alimentares - EAT-26. Quanto aos resultados, observou-se que 30% da amostra eram do sexo masculino e 70% do sexo feminino, sendo que a idade média foi de 19 (± 1,0) anos, a ansiedade e compulsão alimentar, foram encontradas em 77,7% e 31,9% respectivamente. Quanto a avaliação do estado nutricional 63,8% estavam eutróficos e 28% acima do peso. Verificou-se que 30% apresenta-se insatisfeito com sua imagem corporal, sendo evidenciado por ambos os questionários, pois apresentam resultados semelhantes, ou seja, essa população precisa de orientação nutricional e psicológica para evitar que maiores problemas possam acontecer, como a anorexia nervosa.
