  En el presente artículo rendimos un homenaje a la figura profesional de Vicenta Cortés Alonso. Para ello comparamos sus reflexiones sobre el oficio de archivero, que se publicó en 1987 con la realidad que vivimos hoy. Una actualidad cambiante, llena de retos y oportunidades, similares a las que se vivieron en el tránsito del mundo analógico al digital, cuyos desajustes todavía condicionan nuestra tarea profesional pero que deberían augurar un futuro brillante para nuestra profesión a corto y medio plazo.

  In this article we pay tribute to the professional figure of Vicenta Cortés Alonso. To do so, we compare her reflections on the archivist’s profession, published in 1987, with the reality we live in today. A changing reality, full of challenges and opportunities, similar to those experienced in the transition from the analogue to the digital world, whose imbalances still condition our professional task but which should augur a bright future for our profession in the short and medium term.
