Resumen de Maternidade Tardia: da consciencialização do desejo à decisão de ser mãe

  Este estudio es parte de una investigación más amplia dirigida a comprender el proceso de transición de las mujeres en la maternidad tardía. Metodología: teoría fundamentada mediante entrevista semiestructurada, Photovoice y notas de campo. Presentamos los resultados de dos categorías: «Conciencia del deseo de ser madre» y «Elegir el momento adecuado». Conclusión: En este proceso, la identidad de las participantes cambió de una identidad cuestionada a una identidad planificada, ajustando el viejo ser independiente y organizado en torno a sus propias necesidades, destacando los aspectos positivos y aboliendo los negativos.

  This study is part of a broader investigation that aims to understand the transition process of women in late maternity. Methodology: Grounded Theory using semi-structured interviews, Photovoice and field notes. The results are presented in two categories: «Awareness of the desire to be a mother» and «Choosing the right moment». Conclusion: In this process the identity of the participants was changed from a questioned identity to a planned identity adjusting the old, independent and organized self around their own needs, highlighting the positive aspects and abolishing the negative ones.
