Creemos que existe una relación interactiva y compleja entre Historia e Historia de la Ciencia. En la historia de Occidente la noción de azar fue adquiriendo importancia y reconocimiento en la proto- Modernidad debido al crecimiento del comercio, lo que favoreció la movilidad social azarosa. Este proceso socio-económico- cultural configuró una visión profana de la vida. Durante el siglo XVII comenzó su abordaje sistemático y aparece su primer tratamiento científico. Cuando durante el siglo XIX Darwin y Wallace introducen la noción de azar y consiguen reconocimiento, tal idea ya estaba integrada en la doxa y en la ciencia.

We believe that there is an interactive and complex relationship between History and History of Science. In the history on the West, the notion of chance it was becoming important in the proto- Modernity, due to the growth of trade, which favored random social mobility. His socio-economic-cultural process configured a profane view of life. During the seventeenth century began its systematic approach and its first scientific treatment appears. When during the nineteenth century Darwin and Wallace introduce the notion of chance and get recognition, such an idea was already integrated into doxa and science.
