  • The main dunes fields of the Ebro delta are located in outer coast of both spits. While the field dune of El Fangar is known through of different studies, the dune dynamic of hemidelta south has not been studied in depth yet. This study attempt to do an approach to the dunar dynamic of Los Alfaques spits by means LIDAR data. The LIDAR technology is used as a standard tool for the analysis of coastal areas. Furthermore, this technology is used to conduct surface and volumetric studies of dune systems, providing info about the evolution of these natural coastal defenses against erosion. In this study, the volume balance shows a downward trend in sediments along the delta.
