Una propuesta artística crítica frente a la distopía farmacotransgénica que se nos impone como realidad

    En este ensayo reflexiono sobre la investigación artística a partir de una serie de obras que realicé desde el año 2019 en las que utilizo una combinación de pintura y collage. Éstas constituyen un primer acercamiento a la realidad global de creciente desigualdad y control biopolítico que se nos impone en la actualidad, y que ahora, después de haber realizado dichas obras, denomino distopía farmacotransgénica. Son obras que forman parte de mi investigación para la Maestría de Creación Artística del Centro Morelense de las Artes, sobre las nuevas formas de dominación sociales y corporales, en el mundo que se nos presenta como obligado y deseable en el presente y el futuro: un mundo científico-tecnológico capitalista que genera acumulación en unas cuantas manos a través de la industria farmacéutica, la biotecnología, la bioingeniería, cibernética, y las ideologías que lo sustentan.

    In this essay I discuss about artistic research, through a series of works that I have done since 2019 in which I use a combination of painting and collage. These works constitute a first approach to the global reality of growing inequality and biopolitical control that is imposed to us today, and that now, after having made these works, I name it as a pharmacotransgenic dystopia. These are works that are part of my artistic research for the Master of Artistic Creation of the Morelense Center of the Arts, on the new forms of social and corporal domination, in the world that is presented to us as obligatory and desirable in the present and the future: a capitalist scientific-technological world that generates accumulation in a few hands through the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, bioengineering, cybernetics, and the ideologies that sustain it.
